Ventana at Duncan Canyon Specific Plan
The Ventana at Duncan Canyon Specific Plan project area is bounded by the Interstate 15 freeway on the north and west, Citrus Avenue on the east, and the Southern California Edison power line transmission corridor on the south. The site is primarily undeveloped, except for an existing residence and outbuildings located on the south side of Duncan Canyon Road, just east of the Interstate 15.
The Ventana at Duncan Canyon Specific Plan is for a 105-acre master-planned, mixed-use community that creates a unique sense of place in north Fontana. It follows the vision the City of Fontana that has been set forth in the General Plan for the regional mixed-use land use classification for this area, and the corporate corridor concept currently being formulated along the Interstate 15.
The design reflects a Mediterranean theme and focuses on a mixed-use, Tuscan village environment. Its design will be visually distinctive and will create a unique window into Fontana from Interstate 15. The Ventana at Duncan Canyon Specific Plan will have a mixed-use corridor located adjacent to the freeway, both north and south of Duncan Canyon Road. It will include mid-rise offices, multi-story buildings, hotels, quality business restaurants, multi-family, research development, and other complementary commercial uses.
Additionally, Ventana at Duncan Canyon Specific Plan will have a mixed-use community with a maximum of:
- 1,671 residential units
- 450,500 square feet of retail commercial/office
- 26,000 square feet of business park/research & development/commercial
